Stephen D. Showfety
President

Mr. Showfety is President of Koury Corporation, having served the company since 1978.  With a background in real estate finance prior to joining Koury, Steve’s focus is on strategic planning, lender relations, corporate financial matters and government relations.

Steve is a graduate of East Carolina University with a B.S. in Education.  He has remained active with East Carolina, serving on its Board of Trustees as Chairman.  He has also been very active in the local community serving on or chairing numerous boards and commissions, including the Greensboro Regional Realtors Association, Greensboro Builders Association, Greensboro Merchants Association, Greensboro Area Chamber of Commerce, Greensboro Economic Development Alliance, Triad Real Estate Building Industry Coalition and the Greensboro Convention and Visitors Bureau to name a few.  He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority.

Steve has received distinguished service awards from East Carolina University, The Greensboro Realtors and The Greensboro Builders Associations.

Steve is a licensed Real Estate Broker in North and South Carolina.

Mo Milani
Executive Vice President-Hospitality

Mr. Milani has been with Koury Corporation since 1980, exclusively concentrating his efforts in hotel operations where he currently serves as Executive Vice President- Hospitality.  He is responsible for the overall management of Koury’s three hotels containing over 1400 rooms: Sheraton Greensboro Hotel & Koury Convention Center, Grandover Resort & Conference Center and Holiday Inn Greensboro Coliseum.

Mo holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from NC A&T State University.  He has served multiple terms on the Greensboro Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors and the Greensboro Sports Commission.
 

Ron Mack
Executive Vice President-Retail and General Counsel

Mr. Mack serves as Executive Vice President-Retail and General Counsel.  He joined Koury Corporation in 1985 after several years in the practice of law.  He is responsible for the overall operation of Koury’s retail portfolio, including development, management, leasing and financial performance.  He also has responsibility for the legal affairs of the company and its affiliates.

Ron earned a B.S. in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and obtained his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law.  He has a N.C. Real Estate Broker’s license, is a member of local and state Bar Associations and is a long time member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Ron has served on or chaired the boards of numerous local organizations, currently serving on the board of the Greensboro Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Greensboro Sports Commission.

Gordon Craig Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Craig joined Koury Corporation in 2006 and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  He is responsible for the company’s capital forecasting, accounting, tax, insurance and financing functions.  Prior to joining Koury, Gordon worked in various accounting, asset management and capital markets positions with Wachovia Securities, Tishman Speyer Properties, Faison Enterprises and others.

Gordon holds a B.S. in Financial Management from Clemson University and a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University.  He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in North Carolina, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Richard Vanore
Vice President –Construction and Facilities

Mr. Vanore serves as Vice President of Construction and Facilities.  With Koury since 1992, Richard  served in various capacities in Koury’s Apartment and Residential Construction divisions before working his way up to lead Koury’s Construction Department in 2010.  He is responsible for all of Koury’s construction related activities and for oversight of the company’s facilities management operations.

Mr. Vanore holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He is active with the Greensboro Builders Association.
 

Gene Tillman
Vice President-Office and Industrial Properties

Mr. Tillman joined Koury Corporation in 1990 and currently serves as Vice President –Office and Industrial Properties.  Gene is responsible for the overall operation of Koury’s Office and Industrial portfolio, including leasing, property management, legal and bottom line performance.  Prior to joining Koury, he spent nine years in the practice of law and several years each in public accounting and as a credit analyst for a bank.

He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Mississippi State University, a J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi and an L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida.  Gene is a member of the Piedmont Triad Chapter of NAIOP and serves on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army.

 

Dick Franks
Vice President-Design and Planning

Since joining Koury in 1985, Mr. Franks has served in various construction related capacities, currently serving as Vice President of Design and Planning.  His responsibilities include design concepting and site planning for Koury’s construction and development projects, as well as coordinating with outside architects and engineers.  Prior to joining Koury, Dick worked in the graphic arts and construction fields.

Mr. Franks attended North Carolina State University where he studied architecture for four years before joining the U.S. Army.  He is active with and served on the Board of Directors for Triad Real Estate and Building Industry Coalition, serving as Chair in 2012.
