Stephen D. Showfety
In Memoriam

Mr. Showfety served the company for 41 years, since 1978.  With a background in real estate finance prior to joining Koury, Steve’s focus was on strategic planning, lender relations, corporate financial matters and government relations.

Steve was a graduate of East Carolina University with a B.S. in Education.  He remained active with East Carolina, serving on its Board of Trustees as Chairman.  He was also very active in the local community serving on or chairing numerous boards and commissions, including the Greensboro Regional Realtors Association, Greensboro Builders Association, Greensboro Merchants Association, Greensboro Area Chamber of Commerce, Greensboro Economic Development Alliance, Triad Real Estate Building Industry Coalition and the Greensboro Convention and Visitors Bureau to name a few.  He served as Chairman of the Board of the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority.

In August, 2019 Steve was the recipient of the Stanley Frank Economic and Workforce Development Award, and The Order of the Long Leaf Pine. He  received distinguished service awards from East Carolina University, The Greensboro Realtors and The Greensboro Builders Associations. 


Richard Vanore

Mr. Vanore was named President of the company effective September 1, 2019   With Koury since 1992, Richard  has served in various capacities in Koury’s Apartment and Residential Construction divisions before working his way up to lead Koury’s Construction Department in 2010.  He has been responsibility for all of Koury’s construction related activities and for oversight of the company’s facilities management operations. As company President, he will continue the company's tradition of providing Guilford County with top-quality facilities in which to meet, shop, live, work play and stay. 

Mr. Vanore holds a B.S. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He is active with the Greensboro Builders Association and is licensed with both the North Carolina Board  of General Contractors and the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.

Mo Milani
Executive Vice President-Hospitality

Mr. Milani has been with Koury Corporation since 1980, exclusively concentrating his efforts in hotel operations where he currently serves as Executive Vice President- Hospitality.  He is responsible for the overall management of Koury’s three hotels containing over 1400 rooms: Sheraton Greensboro Hotel & Koury Convention Center, Grandover Resort & Conference Center and Holiday Inn Greensboro Coliseum.

Mo holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from NC A&T State University.  He has served multiple terms on the Greensboro Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors and the Greensboro Sports Commission.

Ron Mack
Executive Vice President-Retail and General Counsel (Retired)

Mr. Mack serves as Executive Vice President-Retail and General Counsel.  He joined Koury Corporation in 1985 after several years in the practice of law.  He is responsible for the overall operation of Koury’s retail portfolio, including development, management, leasing and financial performance.  He also has responsibility for the legal affairs of the company and its affiliates.

Ron earned a B.S. in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and obtained his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law.  He has a N.C. Real Estate Broker’s license, is a member of local and state Bar Associations and is a long time member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Ron has served on or chaired the boards of numerous local organizations, currently serving on the board of the Greensboro Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Greensboro Sports Commission.

Mike Longmore
Senior Vice President-Commercial Real Estate

Mr. Longmore joined Koury Corporation in September, 2019 as SVP Commercial Real Estate. A 29-year veteran of the shopping center industry, Longmore has overall responsibility for the Company’s 2+ million square foot retail, office and industrial portfolio. For the last 12 years he worked for the global real estate firm, JLL, where as Executive Vice President he focused on Capital Markets, Leasing, Property Management and Marketing for the national retail platform, based out of their Charlotte, NC office.Prior to joining JLL he was Vice President-Leasing Director for the Chicago based REIT, Inland, with responsibility for leasing over 130 retail centers totaling over 18 million square feet in 17 states.

Longmore is a graduate of Old Dominion University with a BS in Business and Public Administration focusing on Real Estate Finance and Marketing.  He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and The Urban Land Institute. He holds real estate Broker’s licenses in North and South Carolina and Virginia, and industry designations as Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX) and Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM).


Gordon Craig Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Craig joined Koury Corporation in 2006 and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  He is responsible for the company’s capital forecasting, accounting, tax, insurance and financing functions.  Prior to joining Koury, Gordon worked in various accounting, asset management and capital markets positions with Wachovia Securities, Tishman Speyer Properties, Faison Enterprises and others.

Gordon holds a B.S. in Financial Management from Clemson University and a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University.  He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in North Carolina, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Gene Tillman
Vice President-Office and Industrial Properties (Retired)

Mr. Tillman joined Koury Corporation in 1990 and currently serves as Vice President –Office and Industrial Properties.  Gene is responsible for the overall operation of Koury’s Office and Industrial portfolio, including leasing, property management, legal and bottom line performance.  Prior to joining Koury, he spent nine years in the practice of law and several years each in public accounting and as a credit analyst for a bank.

He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Mississippi State University, a J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi and an L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida.  Gene is a member of the Piedmont Triad Chapter of NAIOP and serves on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army.
